Advertising & referral disclosure
PlanCost is free to use. We plan to support the site in two ways:
- Display advertising. Ads will be clearly labeled. Advertisers don't choose or edit our content.
- Quote referrals. When you request quotes, we may pass your request to local providers or a home-services matching partner, who may pay us for the referral. We'll name any partner on the quote page.
We may also use affiliate links to tools or products we mention, labeled where they appear.
Our data standards
- We only publish a dollar figure if it comes from a named, dated source we've checked, and we link to it.
- Otherwise we explain what drives the cost, because a generic national "average" can mislead.
- We never invent statistics, quotes or testimonials.
